Chair

David Marcou has a long and distinguished career as a professional violinist and educator. For over 25 years he was a member of London Philharmonic Orchestra where he divided his time between playing and management. He subsequently held an eleven year appointment as Principal of Berkshire Maestros. He is currently Chairman of Governors at a South Oxfordshire Community College as well as holding trustee posts with six other charities in the county.

Mary Moore

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), Mary pursued a successful career in Human Resources holding senior positions in various central government departments in London. Since 2007 she has been involved in a number of freelance arts consultancy projects and, a former Chairman of the London Philharmonic Choir, she is now Company Secretary of Bardi Symphony Orchestra in Leicester. A keen amateur orchestral musician, she also sings with various Leicestershire choirs.

Simon is Chair and Trustee of a number of charities in the arts and heritage arena with a background in accountancy and business turnaround/development. He supports and participates in a range of arts projects with understanding and experience of the positive role that the arts can play in people's lives. Relationships with many organisational networks across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Thames Valley in public, private and voluntary sectors.

Catherine Morgan

Deputy Chair

As a violinist with The Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Catherine has performed and recorded all over the world. She has a special interest in outreach and education work, working initially with Live Music Now in venues from day care centres to Broadmoor Hospital, and more recently with homeless projects in London for the Academy, and also as a coach for the National Children’s Orchestra, and in Germany for the Passau Festival. Catherine is based in South Oxfordshire with her husband and 3 teenage daughters.

Graeme Surtees

Graeme Surtees is currently Head of Learning and Participation at The Stables in Milton Keynes, a role he has held since 2008. He has a long history with OYAP, and has been a trustee since the charity was formed.
